I’m excited to share some major updates I’ve made to Hintscribe, enhancing both functionality and convenience.
Introducing Microphone Transcription 🎙️
I’ve rolled out a new feature that I know many of you have been waiting for: Microphone Transcription. You can now speak directly into your microphone, and Hintscribe will transcribe your words in real time. This feature opens up diverse possibilities for interacting more naturally with ChatGPT – simply talk, and Hintscribe will handle the rest!
A Note to Users: Currently, the transcription feature captures all audio inputs, including both system audio and microphone. If this is an issue for your usage, the previous version of Hintscribe is still available for download. I am actively working on an update that will allow you to choose to transcribe system audio or microphone input separately.
Also more intuitive integrations for prompting ChatGPT are on the way. Stay tuned!
Effortless Updates with the New AutoUpdater 🔄
To enhance your user experience, I’ve introduced an AutoUpdater. What does this mean for you?
- Automatic Updates: Hintscribe will now automatically update to the latest version as it becomes available. This means no more manual checking and downloading for updates.
- Weekly Updates: I’m committed to continuous improvement. You can expect new updates every week with refinements and new features.
Special Note for Portable Version Users 💼
For those using the portable version of Hintscribe, please note that it won’t update automatically, preserving your settings as they are. However, I will make sure to notify you when a new version is available, so you can update at your convenience.
